Welcome to Lyra Blogs & Introducing #Lyra100!

Hello! This is the first instalment of a monthly blog series. We’re gonna show you everything we get up to in a month (ngl we get up to quite a lot).

We launched our Lyra 100 campaign to grow the team to 100 engineers by the end of 2025. At the start of September we had 44 engineers and at the end we had at 54!

We still have 46 more hires to go and at the rate we’re growing, we’re not gonna hit it...Which is why we welcomed two new members into the growth team, Duke Phan and Hugh Phan! Together with Winston Tjahjadi (Growth Lead), they started introducing some of the main characters at Lyra with highly produced quality reels!

LYRA'S ONSITE ACTIVITIES

We also had our onsite week during the second week of September, which is basically just a week of spending on lots of good food and activities for the Lyra family!

Here’s what it looks like

MONDAY: JET BOAT ENERGY

CIRCULAR QUAY, sydney harbour, jet boat ride that had everyone questioning their life choices (in the best way). then seafood at EPICUREAN because we're not savages. nothing beats team bonding that actually slaps.

TUESDAY: COMPETITIVE ERA UNLOCKED

badminton at NBC ALEXANDRIA. everyone showed up with energy. there were rivalries. there were impossible shots that landed anyway. zero talk about quarterly reviews—that was the entire point.

WEDNESDAY: ESCAPE ROOM ARC

PANIC ROOM had us locked in and stressed in the best way. nothing builds trust like solving unhinged puzzles together while your heart rate spikes.

THURSDAY: ARCADE + FINE DINING

STRIKE DARLING HARBOUR where competitive spirits went feral. high scores, broken records, gourmet smack talk. then MEAT & WINE CO because we earned it.

FRIDAY: VERTICAL CHALLENGES

9D WATERLOO bouldering wall. muscles hurt. life good.

here's the thing: a team that plays together stays together. at LYRA, we build incredible tech because we actually take care of the people building it.
