Lyra was founded in 2023 by a group of engineers who saw the impact they could make by helping early-stage startups overcome technical challenges. Our story began when our roommates asked for coding help in 6 weeks, we helped them launch the first product iteration of their candidate marketplace Paraform.
A few months later, they raised over $2M in a pre-seed round. Inspired by this impact, we came together to create what Lyra is today: a collective of top-tier builders, engineers, and designers from across Australia who thrive on solving the most pressing challenges startups face.
We started Lyra to be different from traditional consultancies, avoiding junior or offshore devs and extra layers of managers, whilst maintaining the highest engineering and design standards. Working with us feels like expanding your team. We build long-term relationships with founders and have helped 50+ startups across 20 sectors, including Paraform, ReadMe, Chakra, and 10+ YC startups raise significant funding rounds as their go-to technical partner.
